Charlotte Engelhardt is the daughter of a Norwegian journalist and a German graduate engineer. After living for some time in Taiwan, Engelhardt moved at the age of 14 with her family to Germany. After a business studies degree at the University of Bad Homburg accadis she worked from 2003 to 2004 for a few months as a weather forecaster at RTL Nord and Mission Guten Abend RTL. From May 2004, she hosted the afternoon show GIGA green in the host area. After a successful casting at ProSieben Engelhardt GIGA left in January 2005 to assist in the mission DIY Do It Yourself - SOS to relieve the presenter Sonya Kraus.
